Background

HappierHire is a cloud-based people management platform for G Suite. This software helps keep the hiring process (from application sorting to onboarding) systematic by organizing candidate databases from all sources and providing tools to manage approvals & requisitions. To create an efficient work environment for HR, HappierHire keeps track of all the basic needs like daily interviews, sending a reminder to submit candidate feedback, fetching candidates' resumes, understanding your calendar and much more. The design team undertook this project to revamp the system to improve efficiency and leverage the technology to build a more intelligent workplace.

Identified end user

While discussing with the HR team, we found that the dashboard needs the most attention. The dashboard is the one feature they use the most to access all sorts of information, such as daily tasks, interviews, and managing referrals. Users had a hard time because of the following reasons:

Dashboard
  • Non-intuitive

  • Higher learning curve

  • Unstable information architecture

  • Missing or incomplete content

  • Aesthetically unpleasant

Key findings from the user research

Define

Prioritized the following call for actions and necessary information to guide users to accomplish their routine tasks quickly and efficiently.

  • Fetch job requirements

  • Feedback (giving and receiving)

  • Facilitate interviews (of the end-user)

  • Reminders

  • Notifications

  • Offer letters

  • Manage referrals

  • Application status

Design

While working on the visual design, the following were the key considerations:

  • The modern and minimalistic design approach

  • Balance of white space

  • The subtle use of icons

  • Visual cues to grab attention
